(Richwood, OH – March 2, 2020) Richwood Bank is proud to announce they have reached a purchase agreement with Logan County Commissioners of the Carnegie Library located on Main Street in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

The historic building, which was temporarily housing Logan County agencies throughout the courthouse remodel was vacated more than a year ago and posted for public bid earlier this year.

Chad Hoffman, President and CEO of Richwood Bank released a statement regarding the accepted bid for the property. “After more than a decade of serving Logan County through our Huntsville location, we have found the demand for our community banking model to increase significantly, requiring a second location of convenience for our customers.”

“Our intention is to modernize the large addition with our Richwood style while restoring the historic library as open community meeting spaces. The city has been gracious to work with us on additional parking and drive through access around the building to ensure functionality of today’s business owners while preserving a landmark Bellefontaine can be proud of.”

Although there is no timeline for construction, the outpouring of support has created a sense of urgency for the Richwood Bank team to begin seeking partnerships to progress the intention of becoming present in Bellefontaine.

“Our mission is to inspire, protect and celebrate anything that makes communities thrive. The momentum of growth happening in Logan County has been contagious and we are so appreciative to have this opportunity to expand small business capabilities. Our goal is to continue making a memorable impact in the lives of those we serve,” Hoffman added.

New updates will be released as they become known.
