Values, vision and security. These were the top three criteria of an extensive employer survey led by Columbus CEO Magazine and WBNS-10TV last fall. The two entities teamed up with WorkplaceDynamics LLC of Exton, PA, to identify private and public organizations in Central Ohio that are viewed by their employees as a great place to work. In all, the list was narrowed down to 850 businesses that were marketed to and encouraged to participate in the evaluation.
For the 2014 Top Workplaces, 79 for-profit, nonprofit and government employers with a combined total of 31,247 employees completed the entire examination process set by WorkplaceDynamics to be considered for the Top Workplaces designation.
The surveys employees took were intended to measure qualities, such as company leadership, communications, career opportunities, working environment, managerial relationships, pay and benefits.
