Logan County Community Care Day 2019

THANK YOU for signing up to volunteer for Community Care Day, 2019! Our 4th annual corporate work day on Friday May 10 promises to be memorable. More than 300 volunteers from 40 different groups are planning to join us. Please read the instructions below to maximize your volunteer experience. Note that the event is sold out and we cannot register additional volunteers at this time.WHEN AND WHERE TO BE
Please make sure everyone in your group knows that Community Care Day begins at 7:45 a.m. on Friday May 10 at the Bellefontaine Regional Airport (3700 St. Rt. 47 W., Bellefontaine). The group from the Bellefontaine St. Vincent de Paul Society is preparing a complimentary breakfast for all volunteers. After a brief program, we will disburse to our job locations at 8:30 a.m. Note that when you sign in that morning, you will be asked to complete a Volunteer Waiver and Photo Release.
WHAT TO WEAR
All Community Care Day volunteers will receive a Community Care Day t-shirt to wear while working that day. Please wear it during the day so that you will be identified as a United Way volunteer when you enter the local agencies and parks.
YOUR PROJECT
The Team Leader who registered your group has already selected the project you will be working on. Click here to view a spreadsheet with complete project information. Look for your group name in the first column. Details on the project location and task, as well as anything you may need to bring from home, is included.
CAPTURE THE MOMENTS
On Friday, take plenty of pictures of your team and share them with us! Even “before and after” pictures of what the area looked like when you got there and what it looks like when you’re done. You can:

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER
Community Care Day occurs rain or shine. Many projects are indoors and would not be impacted by inclement weather. The decision to postpone/cancel the project at your location is up to YOUR discretion and that of the recipient organization. In the event that you choose you have to do that, please notify your agency contact as soon as possible and consider making arrangements to complete the project at another time of mutual convenience.
