Kentucky Derby Party!

Help support the Delaware County District Library in its quest to build a Maker’s Space for the Community while having a grand ole time at the first ever Friends of the Library Kentucky Derby Party!  It promises to be a blast!  And you get to meet Edwina the Wonder Stick Horse! (pictured above)

The Delaware County District Library’s Maker Space at the Willis Educational Center is a centralized hub designed to to give patrons access to a host of creative and digital fabrication tools. It also serves as a focal point for education on STEAM concepts for local Delaware area students. Patrons will have access to 3D printers, laser and vinyl cutters, and sewing machines along with access to circuitry, robotics, and construction kits. The Library will use the Maker Space to extend its mission of using traditional and innovating technology to encourage curiosity, free inquiry and lifelong learning.
